Made of high quality stainless steel. To protect against accidentally dropping of flask it is covered with the special black matt non-slip coating.
As in all Esbit flasks the two-layer structure is responsible for maintaining the temperature of the content. The inner layer is coated with a layer of silver which:
- raises flask thermal properties;
- raises antibacterial properties and helps to remove any sediment.
To maximize the qualities offered by your food jug, the company Esbit proposes "formatting" flask before use. If you're planning to transport hot things - before placing them in a thermos you need to fill Food Jug with hot water for about 4 minutes, then empty the water and place the food. Similarly you should do with cold things ( fill flask with very cold water).
The undeniable advantage of food jug is also the safety valve on the lid. After you press it (before opening flask!) you can remove the excess pressure accumulated inside (which often happens after placing hot food inside). On the one hand, it facilitates the opening of the flask, on the other eliminates the risk of getting burned by hot steam or accidental "explosion" during transport. The same lid with may serve as a bowl.
