US Army Extreme Cold "Bunny" Boots White Original New

US Army winter footwear launched for use in the early 1960s.

Bunny boots are designed for use in extremely low temperatures. The footwear provided soldiers protection up to -54°C. Boots will prove while hunting, snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing and other events in the penetrating cold - users appreciate them especially when they move little.

The waterproof, rubber, vapor barrier is sealed to prevent moisture from entering the shoe. Air insulation and wool felt prevent heat loss, protecting the wearer from frostbite. Thick insulation (2 layers of 1,5 cm thick wool felt) in the insole prevents heat loss when standing on ice or frozen ground. Rubber gussets at the front of the toe and back of the heel connect to military standard ski and snowshoe bindings.

The shoes were popularly called "Mickey Mouse" Boots due to their original design in the first, black version. Version two in white rubber with extra insulation was called "Bunny" Boots.

Due to the lack of breathability in boots, it is required for not much physical activity while wearing them.
