An aesthetic, ergonomic, and highly heat-retaining food jug manufactured by the company Esbit. The product was created with survival enthusiasts, hunters, and others in mind. The thermos is made of stainless steel, covered on the outside with an anti-slip coating. This prevents accidental drops when holding it with gloves or with cold hands. The thermos is designed in such a way that handling it is easy and comfortable. Regardless of the capacity, it has the same diameter (108 mm) – it only differs in height.
The temperature retention is ensured by a double-layer construction. In the case of the Food Jug, the inner layer is additionally coated with silver, which enhances its thermal properties, provides antibacterial effects, and facilitates the removal of any leftovers. An additional advantage of the vessel is the safety valve on the cap – by pressing it (before opening the thermos!), we release excess pressure that may have accumulated inside, which often happens after placing hot food inside. This solution makes it easier to open the thermos and practically eliminates the risk of burns from hot steam or the accidental "explosion" of the cap during transport. The cap itself can also be used as a small bowl.
Esbit recommends "conditioning" the thermos before use. If you plan to transport hot items – before placing them inside, fill the thermos with hot water for about 4 minutes, then pour out the water and place the food inside. Similarly, for cold items (fill the thermos with very cold water) follow the same process.
Temperature Retention: | 500 ml | 750 ml | 1000 ml |
After 6 hours | ~65°C | ~70°C | ~75°C |
After 12 hours | ~50°C | ~60°C | ~60°C |
After 24 hours | ~30°C | ~40°C | ~45°C |
The liquid inside is initially filled at 98°C, with the surrounding temperature around 20°C ± 2°C. |
