The thermos is made of stainless steel with an anti-slip coating on the outside. It protects against accidental dropping held in a glove or in a frozen hand. The construction of the thermos was chosen in such a way that its manipulation does not cause any difficulties. Regardless of capacity, it has the same diameter (108 mm) - only the height differs.
A two-layer construction is responsible for maintaining temperature. In the case of the Food Jug, the inner layer has been additionally coated with silver, which increases the thermal properties and has an antibacterial effect and facilitates the removal of possible deposits. Another advantage of the vessel is the safety valve on the cap - after pressing it (before opening the thermos!) we remove the excess pressure accumulated inside, which often happens after placing a hot dish inside.This solution facilitates the opening of the thermos and virtually eliminates the risk of scalding by hot steam or the accidental "explosion" of the cap during transport. The cap itself successfully serves as a bowl.
Esbit recommends "formatting" the thermos before use. If you plan to transport hot items - before placing them in the thermos, fill it with hot water for about 4 minutes, then pour out the water and place the food. Do the same for cold things (fill the thermos with very cold water).
